Headsup: new ode release (soname change) coming to rawhide

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,

When rawhide unfreezes a new ode release, which changes the ABI (but not the
API, so a rebuild should suffice *) will hit rawhide. In the mean time you can
get it here:
http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/ode/0.10.1/1.fc10/

* Note I say: "a rebuild should suffice" but for 2 of my own ode using packages it did not suffice, as they did not call dInitODE(), something which ode now checks for and if not init-ed before use the new ode will abort.

To test rebuild, prepare and test your packages. Do not fire of rebuilds until
rawhide is unfrozen from the beta, rebuilding before that will build against
the old ode.

I wish I could have done this before the beta, but I simply did not have the
time for this.

Affected packages:
raydium-0:1.2-9.fc10.x86_64
machineball-0:1.0-5.fc9.x86_64
xmoto-0:0.4.2-1.fc9.x86_64
stormbaancoureur-0:2.1.4-1.fc10.x86_64
crystalspace-0:1.2-7.fc10.x86_64
rcssserver3d-0:0.6-4.fc10.x86_64

I'll take care of raydium, machineball, stormbaancoureur and crystalspace
myself as those are all mine.

Regards,

Hans
