You might be hitting this where it is trying to use the built-in card instead of your addon PCI card by default, perhaps only for some applications: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=441506 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=448477 Run "pavucontrol" to set the default output device and monitor applications as they play.
