Automounting USB devices on headless servers - ivman alternatives?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Is there a recommended (F9) way to get gnome-volume-manager-like
behaviour on a headless server? The main goal is an automagically
created mount point in /media for each mountable partition on the
drive, and a hook for a script to check what is in the plugged drive.

ivman promises to do what I want but it sounds like it's been held
back from the pool by its maintainer [1], and it seems really
cumbersome to configure.

Is there a better alternative?

cheers,

martin
