Hi, all. I've just pushed Deluge 1.0.0 RC2 (0.9.02) into Rawhide. Formerly 0.6.x, this is an almost-complete rewrite from the 0.5.x series and therefore comes with several caveats/warnings. Firstly, it is NOT BACKWARD-COMPATIBLE with the old 0.5 series' plugins and configurations. Any current state and torrents will not be loaded. I have included in the package documentation a script from upstream trunk (state_upgrade.py) which will convert your state file (and currently running torrents) to the new format if used while Deluge is running. However, any plugins found will fail to function until they are rewritten for 1.0; and most preferences such as share ratios/etc will need to be reset manually. Secondly, the program has been split into a "daemon" and "frontend" portion (with current frontends being GTK+ and WebUI). Deluge will default to a so-called "Classic Mode" which hides the daemon-specific functionality in the GTK+ frontend; but this can be changed in the preferences ("Interface"). Thirdly, the blocklist plugin is no longer being shipped. (The Debian/Ubuntu packaging will follow suit.) At upstream's behest, this plugin is horribly, entirely, and completely broken. It will likely not even be included in future RCs/releases until the rewrite is complete. Lastly, one of my hopes with this release is that we can finally resume shipping Deluge built against a system copy of rb_libtorrent. I don't yet know how feasible this will be though, since I have recently spoken with upstream about it and they say that Deluge requires a pretty recent (usually SVN trunk) release of rb_libtorrent. For more information and details, please see the upstream changelog [1], FAQ [2], and RC2 announcement [3].
