It seems that I can consistently crash my Firefox (firefox-3.0-0.60.beta5.fc9.x86_64) just by fast switching between tabs. If I run firefox from the console I get: which: no soundwrapper in (/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/lib64/ccache:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/sbin:/home/giallu/bin:/usr/sbin) which: no soundwrapper in (/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/lib64/ccache:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/sbin:/home/giallu/bin:/usr/sbin) Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gnomebreakpad": libgnomebreakpad.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (npviewer.bin:22267): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "nodoka", (npviewer.bin:22267): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "nodoka", /usr/lib64/firefox-3.0b5/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 22212 Segmentation fault (core dumped) "$prog" ${1+"$@"} and I've got some gdb backtrace (I can give more if needed): Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. js_GetStringBytes (cx=<value optimized out>, str=<value optimized out>) at jsstr.c:3207 3207 if (!rt->deflatedStringCacheLock) { (gdb) bt #0 js_GetStringBytes (cx=<value optimized out>, str=<value optimized out>) at jsstr.c:3207 #1 0x0000003ccd6171ed in JS_GetStringBytes (str=<value optimized out>) at jsapi.c:5304 #2 0x000000337c2b849e in jsdScript (this=<value optimized out>, aCx=<value optimized out>, aScript=<value optimized out>) at jsd_xpc.cpp:992 #3 0x000000337c2b9c4f in jsdScript::FromPtr (aCx=<value optimized out>, aScript=<value optimized out>) at jsd_xpc.h:155 #4 0x000000337c2b86fc in jsdService::EnumerateScripts ( this=<value optimized out>, enumerator=<value optimized out>) at jsd_xpc.cpp:2712 #5 0x000000337c421fd4 in NS_InvokeByIndex_P (that=<value optimized out>, methodIndex=<value optimized out>, paramCount=<value optimized out>, params=<value optimized out>) at xptcinvoke_x86_64_linux.cpp:208 #6 0x000000337bc4b4ef in XPCWrappedNative::CallMethod ( ccx=<value optimized out>, mode=<value optimized out>) at xpcwrappednative.cpp:2369 #7 0x000000337bc53c0b in XPC_WN_CallMethod (cx=<value optimized out>, obj=<value optimized out>, argc=<value optimized out>, argv=<value optimized out>, vp=<value optimized out>) at xpcwrappednativejsops.cpp:1470 #8 0x0000003ccd64bf17 in js_Invoke (cx=<value optimized out>, ---Type <return> to continue, or q <return> to quit--- argc=<value optimized out>, vp=<value optimized out>, flags=<value optimized out>) at jsinterp.c:1287 #9 0x0000003ccd63f258 in js_Interpret (cx=0x36a35f0) at jsinterp.c:4841 #10 0x0000003ccd64bf7f in js_Invoke (cx=<value optimized out>, argc=<value optimized out>, vp=<value optimized out>, flags=<value optimized out>) at jsinterp.c:1303 Before going the bugzilla route I would like to know if some of you is experiencing the same but also opinions about why nspluginwrapper is not protecting me from that...
