That's the plan. However, I haven't tested this patch myself yet. I do my day-to-day testing with USB hw only -- which works fine without it. Unless someone else is quicker than me I will ask the kernel guys to merge this patch as soon I am sure that all things now work as well on HDA as they used to on USB.
