2008/3/26 Sebastian Vahl <ml@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>:
o kickoff vs. simple menu?:
- Kickoff is not very usable with low resolutions and also some users
complained about it on the mailing lists.
- The proposal here is to make the simple menu the default menu in Fedora 9 to
simulate the old kicker style menu.
- The KDE SIG is undecided in this question.
- So we will bring the discussion to fedora-devel-list (or
fedora-desktop-list) for wider audience.

If you don't go with the new kicker (which everyone will expect after reading all those KDE4 reviews), at least make it easy to enable kicker and disable the simple menu.   Maybe even have instructoins popup on first start of KDE4?

Instead, turn your attention to those things that you can control and grow your influence in those areas and you will see the effects begin to trickle out to those items that were previously out of your power to influence." – Eric Mesa inspired by Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
