While it is logical to load the gnome-vfs-daemon - I don't see any
good reason to start gnome-screensaver and friends.
Does it makes sense that gnome-screensaver would need tto reset the desktop background?. Has anyone checked yet to see if gnome-screensaver is what's setting the background? I should probably login to a failsafe session and see if just running gnome-screensaver changes the background.
