Due to lack of foresight on my part during the git-core to git rename, updates of git-core/git-all from F8 to rawhide were broken (the obsoletes version number was off). To fix this for the eventual F8 to F9 upgraders, I've changed the versioned obsoletes to work for such a case (provided that the version of git in F8 is not updated). Unfortunately, this means that once the beta freeze is over, rawhide users will have their git (the real one, not the metapackage) replaced by git-all on an update. You can work around this by running: remove git install git run inside 'yum shell'. Ideas are welcome, but I think this may be the best option. Sorry for the inconvenience, -James
