And why a scratch build fails without any explanation (build.log
practically empty)?

mock exited with status 10 = (At least) one of the BuildRequires packages
not found, so please check root.log
DEBUG util.py:261: No Package Found for gnome-media-devel
Right, I missed it.
So... what was it replaced with and why the replacing package doesn't
provide it?
Regards,
R.
Well, no. One of the cases in which this type of missing dependency
happens is:
- At the time you rebuilt your package, the BuildRequires packages were
provided for all archs.
- After that, the maintainer of the package needed for BuildRequires of
your package disabled to rebuild the package for ppc and ppc64
(by ExcludeArch).
- At this time, missing dependency happens on your packages on ppc and
ppc64.
For gnome-media, the devel spec file shows:
----------------------------------------------------
# See bug 435771
ExcludeArch: ppc ppc64
----------------------------------------------------
That is, until the related bug is fixed and ppc/ppc64 support for
gnome-media revives, you also have to disable ppc/ppc64 build.

Mamoru
