Hi,

Anaconda is great user-friendly installer, but it lacks some less popular functionality.

When Anaconda is removing Linux partitions and creating new, it should read some files from that partition.

* /etc/passwd: to see what users were used (optionally setting new password and permissions for existent /home directory on partition which is not going to be removed)

* /etc/modprobe.conf: to see what options were enabled

* /etc/modules: to see what modules were autoloaded ie. in Ubuntu

This probably wouldn't be possible for F9's Anaconda, but that changes will be valuable for next releases too.

Anaconda is bloated enough...
Lot of things should be moved from anaconda to First boot/First login

The answer to your question is yum upgrade.....
