Ran into same problem last night as well.  Except I was able to save the
debug output to a remote server (one beside me) in case needed (looks
like you already found out though).

One side note though, is X actually worked this time (ATI X1300 card),
and it could see the drives.  So moving in the right direction, least
compared to last few days.
