hi all !
is anybody looking toward the integration of LTSP 5 in fedora . all i
found is a bugid ##234048 . i can help if needed .
There has been some work. There is a tracker bug
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=188611
But I don't know what the status is right now. First K12LTSP packages
were to be included, things begun a bit hastily, then stopped half-way.
It seems that now the developpement should happen at
https://launchpad.net/~ltsp-drivers
but I don't know where fedora stuff is in it.
Warren Togami and Eric Harrison were the one who lead the ltsp
inclusion.
A bit of history for anyone who might not know: Eric Harrison has
maintained the k12ltsp distribution that you can find at
http://k12ltsp.org/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page for many years. This
isn't a separate distribution in the usual sense but a stock fedora or
centos (depending on the version) rebuilt to include ltsp and some
additional programs, plus some scripts to make it come up working as a
server that will network-boot thin clients. These have been based on
ltsp4. The initial work with ltsp5 has been in ubuntu/edubuntu. I
believe the plan is to package ltsp5 (and perhaps some of the other k12
additions) for inclusion into the stock fedora distribution, but it
hasn't happened yet.
