You can test a new hook that should restore you hd apm settings. Just copy
https://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewcvs/*checkout*/rpms/pm-utils/devel/pm-utils-99hd-apm-restore
to /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/99hd-apm-restore
