Fedora Unity is working on a Fedora 8 respin with an updated kernel and a fixed Anaconda. And then there's also the option of bypassing the installer entirely (at least the buggy version): * install Fedora 7 (or an even older release, but upgrading from Fedora <=6 is going to be more painful due to the libata migration in Fedora 7) * yum install apt * point your /etc/apt/sources.list and/or /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list to Fedora 8 * fix apt's list of "essential" packages (/etc/apt/rpmpriorities), see: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=426143 * apt-get update * apt-get dist-upgrade Kevin Kofler -- fedora-devel-list mailing list fedora-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-devel-list
