Sorry, but situation is not that rosy. Trivial applets
work, that's true, but more complicated (and interesting
ones) depend on LiveConnect, and those break badly.

In fact, for some cases the situation is worse than
not having Java, because it looks like its available
(and thus prevent a decent fallback), and when they
start they block/crash the browser.
