I still haven't got any answer on how to use adequately the pam_consolekit module, and a PA pam module is systematically taken down and we are asked to use gdm only. And the desktop people don't seem to care about those who would like to use pam to incorporate things on other login entry points than gdm. I am not saying that there is an issue with pam, but with the desktop people not wanting to use it. See for example https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=228110 and also https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=228079#c16 Now this is not necessarily a problem, one display manager to rule them all and avoiding using pam may also be a good choice (less duplication of work, less support).
