But please remember, EPEL is voluntary. If he doesn't want to take care of the squidGuard in EPEL you might consider to take care of it in EPEL yourself if you'd like to see it in EPEL -- that's allowed and done a lot, as not all Fedora maintainers have a interest in packages for EL distributions.
