Once it's pushed to stable, it's available for buildroots. Until then,
if you need it for another package please email
rel-eng@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx noting that you'd like that package (with full
NVR) added to the buildroot override, and reason for it.

I hit the same problem all the time with the gtkmm updates, which are 3 to 4-deep dependency chains. How could we automate this ? Having to mail rel-eng for this seems particularly inefficient, and it's also a regression from the plague/FC-6 days...
