Where does it read the defaults from?  It has to be a file
easily editable from system-config-keyboard.

Maybe we could just augment /etc/sysconfig/keyboard?


Switching to evdev is also planned for F9, and will probably be part of
the "big breakage".

Ah, cool!  Who's doing this work?  I'd like to resync
my OLPC packaging work if possible.
