They are generated because kernel-devel packages in F-8 include System.map, 
see Makefile in the source tree for details.  I chose to explicitly disable 
depmod during build (which is what generates those files) in em8300-kmod, I 
think that's a cleaner approach, and matches what actually happens in earlier 
distros.
