I'm sorry, I forgot that the default compiz uses glib gconf instead of ccp .. to make use of ccsm you can either run compiz by "compiz --replace ccp" .. or install compizconfig-backend-gconf and set ccsm to use the Gconf backend in the preferences .. > > This is done by compiz-manager.
