Why do you need a permission? There is a controversy here, so just use
the internal libs, and wait for somebody to report the issue to turn to
FESCO ruling, and in the mean time just do what you think is best.
If FESCO disagree with you then orphan them, but wait for that to
happen. I can't find on the wiki, but there was some guidance on how to
cope with disagreement like this one, and basically it is bring the
issue on the mailing list (you've done it without success in getting an
agreement), and otherwise wait for somebody to report to FESCO for FESCO
ruling. It should be in
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackageMaintainers/Policy
but I can't find it.
