Thanks for helping out so far. And as I stated originally (or I left it
out), if I run the "Soundcard Detection" program, it finds the card as
well as on board sound (SiS MB), and I can hear the sample sound it
plays (speakers are pluggined into the Audigy SE card not the onboard).

So I don't get why it's not being picked up otherwise.
