Hi Azeem,

you can try out VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) which is free also.
VMWare and VirtualBox are pretty simple to use.

It will (among other platforms) emulate a complete x86 based PC, with
a network card, VGA card, IDE controller and a floppy controller. It does
have it's own BIOS like a real PC would.
