It's the size of single files that is limited in cpio. The archive
size is unlimited, as cpio just concatenates single file entries.

OTOH, rpm uses a couple of header elements like RPMSIGTAG_SIZE and
RPMSIGTAG_PAYLOADSIZE which are 32bit integers.
