Ubuntu is doing it so it most be possible for fedora to do it as well.

They are not comparable features at the implementation level. Read the
spec and some of the references to understand why. Here are some details

Fedora also is unlikely to differ much from upstream in these instances.
So things like bootsplash are not a option.
