Why is a build target named dist-f8 and also a tag dist-f8? This also results in strange koji status information. 2) Let all tags start with f7, f8 and so on. Why not give tags the name "f8-devel" or "f8-final"? What is the purpose of the "dist-" prefix on only *some* tags? 3) During the freeze, call the rawhide build report "F8 Test 1 build report". Create a separate build report for all other builds against dist-f8. Concerning the "Frozen for Fedora 8 Test1" message and the Wiki pages, it is difficult to spot the really relevant details. Short step-by-step details and instructions relevant to packagers. F8 Test 1 freeze means: What we see in daily Rawhide is Test 1 work-in-progress until the freeze is over. Ordinary "make build" builds don't enter this Rawhide unless rel-eng is mailed to tag the builds "f8-test1". When the freeze is over, Rawhide switches back to normal f8-devel (currently "dist-f8"), including f8-test1 builds. -- fedora-devel-list mailing list fedora-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-devel-list
