I've done many successful installs in KVM/Qemu for Fedora 7 testing.  Is 
KVM/qemu different in the hardware it provides to the system than pure qemu?  
Or maybe it's just that the kvm/qemu in 7 is new enough that it /does/ work 
with libata?
