This is a bit too naiive. Don't you think calling a company policy 'moronic' reflects on the company that implements it? If you call a signature that somebody sat down and wrote and decided to put in his email 'nonsense', doesn't that reflect on that person?

And in any case, there's no need to use loaded words such as 'moronic' and 'nonsense', when replying to a person that's writing the list for the first time to ask a question. You can get the message across without resorting to intimidation.
