has almost finished with my login, I get a dialog with a message
like this:
Informational - arts message
Sound server informational message:
Error while initalizing sound
device: default can't be opened for playback
(No such file or directory)
The workaround is to go into the BIOS setup screen while
booting and then back out to continue booting Linux. A simple
reboot does not fix the problem. I also had this problem on FC6.
I will attach two dmesg logs, one for the broken audio
and a second for when the audio is okay.
Any clues?
Pat
