    Gnome-based
    KDE-based
  or perhaps
    Gnome-Centric
   to convey better the meaning of those installs. 

  Or perhaps (tongue in cheek) the KDE one could simply be the Linus-Preferred 
install ;-)  Not that Linus is always right ...   or is he ;-)
