And the dist tag is just a red herring here. The Version could just have easily been bumped in say FC6 updates after FC7 releases giving you a package in FC6 updates that is nv newer than what which is on the FC7 media. This isn't a new problem, and it isn't an easy problem to fix. Working toward making it easier to do a Fedora install and have it consider the available updates at install time is really the right direction to go, as the update in FC7 should be nvr higher than the same update in FC6. If you can get to it at install/upgrade time it would prevent you from seeing newer packages on your system than what is on the media. -- Jesse Keating Release Engineer: Fedora
