The bug 204396 obviously has nothing to do with Michel's problem, because it refers to a specific failure scenario which cannot be affected by a power cycle. For the case of libusual, Dave Jones have not dropped ub from Rawhide kernels yet. Perhaps he's giving me time to find an acceptable workaround or somehow work the class-based notifier into upstream. But neither the notifier patch is applied, so we continue to have this problem.
