though this pretty much affects all the aspell dictionaries as well.
Are the dictionaries /usr/share/  data or are the /usr/lib/ data?
Are they arch specific or are they not?
How do I as a mere mortal, without access to a ppc machine... test
whether the dictionary payloads are plagued with
big-endian/little-endian issues or other potential arch-specific
issues?

And does it matter... if aspell is going to hit the dustbin of history?
