Are you sure your problem is #212424 ? That was a very difficult to
reproduce crash in OOo around pure virtual methods, which I still reckon
is some threading problem in glibc, and only appeared < 3 months ago.

Do you have accessibility enabled, perhaps your evo problem is 
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330728 a well known and long
running a11y explosion in evo ? The band-aid I shoved in there looks
like it might get included as a short-term solution.
