There were e-mails floating around with recipes how to do this (some of which I
had to use myself on screwed machines with duplicated packages (which can be
especially painful on mixed architecture machines)). I think some of those
recipes were by the yum man himself (SV).

Maybe Seth can whip up a quick bash script together that would do this
officially and be part of the yum package?
