The package is actually approved but the original submitter is no
longer around and nobody else has volunteered to pick it up yet. Well
actually Robin (the current Core perl maintainer) did say he'd do it
if nobody else was interested, but that was back in September.
Yeah, he sent the email and then he promptly forgot about it. D'oh!
I'll see about following the process to get it into extras this week,
sorry! (Not sure how the proposed extras/core merge will effect this,
though...)
It wont. Contributors just basically would have to continue doing their
work and we will figure out how to do a merge without getting in the way
of people trying to get new packages in.
