If Extras goes away, this would be just "packages that block existing
packages". Sure, if it goes that way (an update requires a new package),
there is nothing to discuss really (other than if the update is warranted,
that is).

That is just "the same package, updated" IMHO.

None of these should make anybody loose much sleep.
