Hopefully in the FC7 timeframe DavidZ's system bus activation patch will be merged to dbus, and a release including it will be in FC7, and then the root cause of this problem will vanish :) But thanks for figuring this out and for the fix. NM should be more resilient to dhcdbd not being around too. For the record, this dhcdbd problem also exposed a bug in the DBus service activation code that caused a segfault in the core dbus daemon, which was patched last week.
