Is it being moved to extra?
Not likely, since AFAIK you cannot have just a sub package in extras.

The right answer, if you need space is to mv all of emacs to extras. :-)

You can but it's very messy.  The php-extras package in extras is an
example.


gnome-python2-gda also (subpackage of gnome-python-extras), albeit still under review. I wouldn't call it messy, just it requires extra care to stay in sync with Core... :-)
