One of this things could be a finer packaging, splitting stuff where possible to achieve a speedier download/install/update _and_ resolve issues like the present
I wouldnt really want to wait for a merge before fixing dependency bloat on packages. I am sure community contributors can help when there is a bigger chance to do so more easily.
