Fair enough, but I was more interested in the idea (ideal?) behind it as opposed to the code., as in something in python to centralise access to the system config tools. The DEs have their own similiar apps, but I believe (hope) that they only go as far as configuring DE level things (wallpapers, themes, window behavior, etc).
