One of our local users tried to install a commercial program which unfortunately has X11 statically linked. The program failed because it couldn't open /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale/locale.dir. A ln -s /usr/share/X11/ /usr/X11R6/lib/X11 solved the problem. So I am wondering if providing a compat-xorg-whatever rpm to ease problems like this is a good idea or not.
