Those "20" (or so) issues that I mentioned ... that's just what goes on from
FC4 -> FC5. I don't know how many such oddities are handled by upgrades to
FC3 and FC4, but there are some things.
Fedora releases are only tested for upgrading from one release to the next,
never from older releases.
My machine went the FC2 -> rawhide -> FC4 -> FC5 path through yum. There
were no special problems (well, I lost networking in FC5, but that was
not related to yum vs anaconda).
You will have to edit some configuration files though, and likely
disable selinux.
