In the long term, if such functionality becomes common, it would be nice
to have RPM allow a flag to be stored within the package database, so
that multiple front ends can share it.

As is, aptitude tracks it in its own database. (Even on its native
Debian) Which means any packages installed outside aptitude are assumed
to be explicit installs.

For now, just track it in the front end, and help prove its useful and
desirable functionality. :)
