When did the behavior of yum WRT its cache change? Is it documented anywhere that by default it no longer keeps packages in its cache.

man yum.conf

       keepcache
Either ‘1’ or ‘0’. Determines whether or not yum keeps the
cache
of headers and packages after successful installation.
Default
              is ’1’ (keep files)

Then in /etc/yum.conf for fc5 keepcache=0

I thought, but I can't find the note, that this was mentioned in the
release notes.

OK, so you blew one. It just goes to show that even top notch guys screw up once in a while. ;-)

Thanks for the excellent work, Seth.
