Are Rahul's needs really a relevant topic?

You're right though, many people are in situations today where they are 
more or less forced to use proprietary solutions; we have more work to do.  
However, people honestly needing 3D rendering to get their work done today, 
are in the minority.   

Anyway, nobody is saying that open source solutions can meet the needs of 
100% of users today.  But there are people that do have all their computing 
needs met by open source today and who don't want any proprietary baggage.  
This group of users has every right to have a distribution designed 
specifically for their needs as anyone else.   Luckily, they have Fedora.
