There are two memtest86's, with different versioning:

The original:  http://www.memtest86.com/
Note 3.2 dates back to November 2004.

memtest86+, a fork:  http://www.memtest.org/
"The first version of Memtest86+ was released on early 2004, based on
memtest86 v3.0 that was not updated since mid-2002"

Fedora ships the latter.  Note that FC5 will include memtest86+ 1.65. 
Even + 1.55, from March 2005,  is newer than 3.2.
