Evolution depends on beagle, gnome-panel, gaim... ???
You got it backward. Beagle, gnome-panel, etc. depend on evolution (or more likely e-d-s or e-sharp). In general if you want to remove a package, try 'yum remove' instead of rpm -e. It works better to help you resolve the dependency chain.
'yum remove evolution'
Is there any way to recompile it for FC5 final? I use GNOME but I don't use Evolution
Evolution the app is different from the libraries it provides which apps (other than evolution) use. If you use beagle, you use evolution-sharp. If you use gnome-panel, you use evolution-data-server.
so I'd like to remove it from my system. BTW I upgraded my
Rawhide system today and all the GNOME applets won't start.
Yeah, see https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2006-January/msg00903.html
